Lifeguards

Position type: Full-time seasonal, Part-time

Job Description:

We are seeking a responsible and vigilant individual to join our team as a lifeguard for our summer camp program. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of campers and staff during all aquatic activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe and clean swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations
Keep constant surveillance of swimmers and be alert to any signs of distress or potential danger
Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergency situations, including performing rescue and CPR if necessary
Assist with swim lessons and activities as needed
Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff regarding any safety concerns or incidents
Document incident reports
Maintain and clean all equipment used during aquatic activities
Attend and participate in all required trainings and meetings

Requirements:

Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization
CPR, AED and First Aid certification
Must be 16 years of age or older
Strong swimming skills and endurance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency situations
Experience working with children is preferred

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

4 hour shift
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Weekend availability

The founder of Physique Swimming earned his Masters degree in Physical Education and has over 25 years of experience as a swim instructor and coach of competitive swimming. All Physique Swimming instructors are Red Cross certified for WSI, Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR.

Member schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school.
